Common advice that we always receive from our oldies. We are very used to hearing this advice up to the extent that we are already belittling its meaning and purpose.
Instead, we must know that it is very common because it is too important to be neglected even in our daily lives. Always remember that.
So, if health is important how can we take care of it?
Just like wealth, we can take care of our health by investments. And we can invest through having a balanced diet.
What is a balanced diet?
By definition, a balanced diet is composed of the right amount of essential nutrients that we need in a day. These essential nutrients are proteins, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, water, and fiber. It sounds a lot but we need all of these in a day to give us the energy and protection to deliver our tasks. The composition of the essential nutrients varies depending on the person’s health conditions, lifestyle, age, activities, and especially if with health medications.
So, how are we going to manage to have a balanced diet when, once again, these essential nutrients seem too much to remember in a day?
Simple. This is through knowing the major groups of food to easily track our intake.
