Advancing Equity at the Intersection of Hunger, Health, and Nutrition
In the third installment in our Health Equity Collaboratory Series, we will explore innovative approaches to integrating health and nutrition to address food insecurity and improve health outcomes.
Following the White House Conference on Hunger, Health, and Nutrition, we are focusing on a key pillar of the White House’s National Strategy: Integrate Nutrition and Health, with a specific recommendation to “screen for food insecurity and connect people to the services they need.”
Moderated by Mike Parrish, Bayer U.S. head of Public Affairs, Science, and Sustainability, panelists will share perspectives on social determinants of health, the impact of nutrition & diet on diabetes, and models to address inequities at the community level, as well as lessons learned and advice for establishing more of these programs.
Join us on January 18th to hear from our esteemed panelists:
• Matt Habash, President & CEO of Mid-Ohio Food Collective
• David Waters, CEO of Community Servings
• Tricia Barrett, Executive Director, Quality & Population Health Strategy at Bayer
